About You:

1. How has music affected your life?

I've loved music since the first breath I took. When I was little, I used to wake up every morning and sing until my mom came to get me. It relaxes me, exites me, completes me.

2. How are you involved in the music scene? (In other words, are you a musician, songwriter, fan, etc.)

I write songs when the mood strikes me, and am a musician of sorts.

3. Do you play any instruments? If so, what do you play?

I play the piano, mostly just functional chords. I used to play the flute, and I'd love to learn how to play the guitar.

4. Are you in a band? If so, what kind of music do you play? (you can also provide a link if you want...we'd love to hear more great music!)

I'm not in a band. I'm part of two music teams at different churches, but not my own band.

5. What was the best concert you've ever been to? (If you've never been to a concert, that's OK.)

A concert of Falling Up and Seventh Day Slumber. I've been to quite a few concerts, but that was by far the best.

Likes and Dislikes:

1. What are your five favorite bands?

hm...that's got to be Death Cab for Cutie, Five Iron Frenzy, Ronnie Day, Kelly Clarkson (if that counts as a "band"), and All American Rejects. I know, not very original lol.

2. What are your three least favorite bands?

Fall Out Boy, Korn, and Disturbed

3. What is your favorite song? How about your favorite album?

My favorite song is Mad World, by Gary Jules. My favorite album is Transatlanticism by Death Cab for Cutie.

4. What do you like about the music industry today? What do you dislike?

I like the music industry because it makes a lot of good music readily available to the public. I dislike it because it's so commercialized, and it seems like most bands who go mainstream begin to sound like everyone else. Not all, but most.

5. What group of music lovers do you most closely identify with?

hm...the songwriters, and those who love acoustic soulful music.
